Dandelion and Bee Archival Print

This limited edition print is based on the original and unique painting of a bee flying into the light a new dandelion that is starting to open.
 
 
The original piece was painted by Claire Murthy during spring lockdown 2020. It is part of the BeeScapes collection Into the Light ‘Dandelion and Bee’. It was inspired by the interplay between the flowers, bees and light and represents both dandelion and bee as coming out of the darkness of the colder season and into the light of spring.
 
 
The original is no longer available. The painting measured 10" x 14" and was created using gouache, watercolour and ink on museum quality pure cotton archival paper that will last for generations.

This series of limited edition prints is a mixed run consisting of two hundred pieces.   A small number of greetings card presentation sets and A3+ print sizes are included in the run of 200 pieces but not currently available online.
 
The print is reproduced on a distinguished fine art paper, approved by the Fine Art Trade Guild and made on one of only a few traditional cylinder mould machines in the world. The paper is produced with consideration for the environment in a historic paper mill situated in the South of England.

Each print is based on the original painting and is individually made using superior grade inkjet inks. The finished print has a luxurious quality with the look and feel of an original piece of art. 
 
With the beautiful surface texture of this pure cotton inkjet paper and warm natural white finish, the print appeals for its characteristics that resemble handmade paper, as well for as its excellent archival properties and capacity for vibrant colours. 
 
This special piece is printed in England using a high-end printer and archival inks with professional fine art paper that are designed to create prints to last through generations.
 
The artist’s monogram and signature will appear on the front and/or reverse of the print. It comes with a signed Certificate of Authenticity.
