Prints, paintings and products despatched from the Studio are carefully wrapped in archival glassine paper and/or PH neutral, recycled tissue paper and/or biodegradable and compostable cello bags, where appropriate.
Where possible, items are packaged in recycled, recyclable and/or compostable card envelopes with additional cardboard padding where necessary for safe delivery or tubes for larger prints.
Packaging accessories include eco-friendly packing tapes, strings and wraps.

Your item will be on its way to you as soon as possible.

Specific timeframes and procedures must be followed to progress all cancellations and returns in the UK.
Quick Cancellation of ANY Item/Change of Mind
You may cancel an order for ANY item, free of charge and for any reason, within 3 hours of placing an order, by emailing your request to email@example.com. The refund will be processed within 24 hours from the next working day with the aim of refunding the payment to the bank from which it was paid as soon as possible.
Standard Cancellation for Non-Bespoke Items/Change of Mind
If you placed an order over 3 hours ago, the despatch process will be in progress and you must follow the standard returns procedure by emailing your request to firstname.lastname@example.org within 14 days from the day after you receive the item if you simply change your mind and wish to return a non-bespoke item that has already been dispatched or is in process.
Each item despatched has been individually quality-checked and carefully wrapped, packaged and taken to the post office by the artist. As such, a maximum of 50% of the cost of each returned cancelled item will be deducted from any refund due for each item as the cancellation fee and you will also need to make arrangements for a suitable return postage and pay for it yourself.
Please be aware that many items made in Claire Murthy Studio such as prints and greetings cards, are specifically made to fulfil an order. This is the most practical and environmentally-friendly way for me to run a small-scale business, which I hope you will appreciate. It means they are bespoke items, specially printed for each individual order, which makes them special. They are not mass-printed by a large printing company. Every care has been made to ensure the print you receive is the same as the one you see on the screen, bearing in mind possible differences in colours shown on screens due to individual monitor settings. It is for this reason they do not have the same cancellation rights that apply to ‘off the shelf’ non-bespoke items if you simply change your mind about an order. Please make sure you want the item before placing your order.
This does not apply to faulty goods or those that are 'not as described'.
Standard Returns for Faulty Goods/Items Not as Described
You may return any item if it is faulty or is 'not as described' by emailing your request to email@example.com within 14 days from the day after you receive the item for a full refund and to arrange FREE return postage.
Your legal rights: in law, you have rights as a consumer when you buy items from me, which include the right to return items where the goods are faulty or have been incorrectly described.
In addition to your legal rights to return faulty or goods that are not as described, you may also return eligible goods for other reasons. Where eligible, refunds will only be paid back to the original payment card.
Please take care with the item you wish to return regardless of why you are returning it. Each item that leaves Claire Murthy Studio has been individually handmade, personally packaged and posted with the utmost care to ensure it gets off to the best possible start and arrives in good condition; because of this, it is unlikely that you will find an item that is faulty or not as described. Unfortunately, there is a chance that an item may one day have arrived damaged in the post although I am pleased to say that I have not had experience of this with products despatched from Claire Murthy Studio.
You are responsible for the safe return of ANY item back to Claire Murthy Studio, which means you must make sure it is delivered back to the Studio in the same condition in which it was received. If the item returned is damaged or has lost value in any way while you have been responsible for it, which is the time from when you received the item until it has been received back to Claire Murthy Studio, the refunded amount may be reduced to reflect the diminished value of the item irrespective of the reason for which it was returned. Fortunately, Claire Murthy Studio has not had experience of any products having been damaged by our lovely customers either!
Overall, I have not yet experienced any returns for any reasons - long may this be the case! In the event that a refund is requested for any reason, I will do my best to resolve the situation with you, so don't worry and don't hesitate to contact me if you feel a refund is only fair!
