Into the Light ii

This original and unique painting depicts a bee flying into the light and towards a new dandelion that is starting to open.

It was painted during spring lockdown 2020 and is part of the BeeScapes collection Into the Light ‘Dandelion and Bee’.

It was inspired by the interplay between the flowers, bees and light and represents both dandelion and bee as coming out of the darkness of the colder season and into the light of spring.

This second, finished version was painted in gouache, watercolour and ink.
