Wild Pink Roses and Bee Archival Print

This limited edition print is based on the original and unique painting of a bee resting on a never-ending cycle of roses.
 
 The original artwork was painted by Claire Murthy with consideration for the timeless beauty and hope to be gained from the ongoing cycles of nature. 
 
'Wild Pink Roses and Bee', was painted in spring 2020 during the first lockdown. It was inspired by watching the freedom of the bees. It is my first painting in the series, ‘Magical Bees and Flowers’, and was selected by House and Garden Magazine to feature in their advertorial Art Edit for 'aesthetic and unique artwork', 2020.
 
The original is no longer available. The painting measured 10" x 14" and was created using gouache, watercolour and ink on museum quality pure cotton archival paper that will last for generations.

This series of limited edition prints is a mixed run consisting of two hundred pieces.   A small number of greetings card presentation sets and A3+ print sizes are included in the run of 200 pieces but not currently available online.
 
The print is reproduced on a distinguished fine art paper, approved by the Fine Art Trade Guild and made on one of only a few traditional cylinder mould machines in the world. The paper is produced with consideration for the environment in a historic paper mill situated in the South of England.

Each print is based on the original painting and is individually made using superior grade inkjet inks. The finished print has a luxurious quality with the look and feel of an original piece of art. 
 
With the beautiful surface texture of this pure cotton inkjet paper and warm natural white finish, the print appeals for its characteristics that resemble handmade paper, as well for as its excellent archival properties and capacity for vibrant colours. 
 
This special piece is printed in England using a high-end printer and archival inks with professional fine art paper that are designed to create prints to last through generations.
 
The artist’s monogram and signature will appear on the front and/or reverse of the print. It comes with a signed Certificate of Authenticity.
